James "Randy" Randall Mangham, loving husband, dedicated father, cherished son, and loyal brother, passed away on July 19, 2024, in North Manchester, Indiana. Born in Thomaston, Georgia, on July 14, 1956, Randy was the son of James Norman and Erma Lavone (McCard) Mangham.
Randy graduated from Pike County High School in Georgia in 1974 and briefly attended Gordon College before commencing a long and successful career at Borden Chemical as a machine operator and forklift driver, retiring in the year 2000. An accomplished athlete in his youth, Randy participated in football and baseball during his high school years, showcasing his passion for sports. He was also musically talented, singing in a quartet and proving to be a man of many talents.
On April 30, 1988, Randy married the love of his life, Coleen Zerbe, and together they shared many years filled with love and companionship. In 2009, they relocated to North Manchester, IN, to care for Coleen’s parents, showing his unwavering commitment to his family. It was during his time in North Manchester that Randy became a member of Faith Baptist Church. Randy was known for his gentle and soft-spoken nature, his exceptional gift of writing, and his deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
The loving memory of Randy Mangham will be forever cherished by his wife, Coleen Mangham, North Manchester; father, James Norman Mangham, Meansville, Georgia; son, Chad Kendall (Melissa) Mangham, Thomaston, Georgia; daughter, Amber Dawn Mangham, Meansville, Georgia; sisters Rhonda (Andy) Penn, Thomaston, Georgia and Pam (Vince) Vickers, Molena, Georgia; and nine grandchildren. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Lavone Mangham.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Faith Baptist Church, 1303 State Road 13, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor Steve Zerbe and Pastor Jon Allen officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Rankin Cemetery, South Strawtown Pike Road and County Road 700 South, Peru, Indiana.
