Jackie L. Ferrell, 75, North Manchester, IN died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 9:34 p.m. in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. He was born October 10, 1935 in Roanoke, IN to Leonard & Mary (Reimer) Ferrell. He was raised by his step father, Emery First, Deceased. He graduated from Andrews (IN) High School 1954. He was a US Army Veteran having served in Korea. On March 28, 1973 he married Janice R. (Kistler) Werking. He retired in 1996 from General Telephone after 30 years of service as a lineman. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1518, North Manchester, IN. He enjoyed camping, fishing and NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife, Janice Ferrell, North Manchester, IN; five sons, Mike Ferrell, Citra, FL, Tony Ferrell, Jacksonville, FL, Rick (Dee) Grindle, Wabash, IN, Jim (Kelly) Grindle, Markle, IN and Jeff Grindle, Pierceton, IN; five daughters, Rachal Townsend, Columbia, TN, Traci Brubaker, North Manchester, IN, Mrs. Kevin D. (Heidi) Marcum, North Manchester, IN, Mrs. Terry (Deb) Hudson, Silver Lake, IN and Mrs. Kris (Jill) Slater, Sidney, IN; Twenty-three grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister are deceased. Friends and family may call Friday, February 18, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. For those who wish to honor the memory of Jackie L.
