J. Wayne Luckenbill

J. Wayne Luckenbill, 85, Sarasota, Florida and formerly of North Manchester, IN died September 25, 2013 in Sarasota. He was born at North Manchester, IN on May 29, 1928. He grew up in North Manchester where he and his wife owned and operated Manchester Floor Covering. They moved to Sarasota in 1969 after the death of their son, Michael. They were owners of Beneva Arms Apartments and Beneva Arms Realty. Wayne served in the United States Navy. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Joan. His children, Brenda Dahlgaard (Erik); Peggy Lemmon (Jon); Jim Luckenbill; Angela Hockett (Jim). Grandchildren, Chris Bucher, Amy Upholz (Brian), and Dustin Luckenbill. Also surviving is a sister, Thelma Eberly, South Whitley, IN. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the the Strathmore Villas South Clubhouse, 97 Strathmore Blvd., Sarasota, FL.
