Herman B. Betten

Herman B. Betten, 84, North Manchester, IN died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:50 p.m. in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, IN. He was born February 9, 1927 in Wabash County, IN to Harry & Edna (Macon) Betten. On July 30, 1949 he married Patricia A. Marshall. She died January 6, 2007. He retired in 1988 after 41 years at Gripco, South Whitley, IN. Herman was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, North Manchester, IN. He is survived by two sons, H. Byron Betten, North Manchester, IN and Steven (Patty) Betten, Wabash, IN; one daughter, Wanda (Jon) King, Laketon, IN; one half brother, Harry Betten, Bippus, IN; one sister, Maxine Harvey, North Manchester, IN; one half sister, Phyllis France, Wabash, IN; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. One brother and one step sister are deceased. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
