Helen A. French, 99, North Manchester, IN died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 25, 1913 in Elwood, IN to Harley B. & Emma Julia (Smoak) Greene. She graduated from Kokomo (IN) High School in 1931. Helen was a homemaker and member of South Pleasant United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, IN and United Methodist Women. On February 25, 1933 she married Woodrow A. L. French. He died February 18, 1992. She is survived by two sons, Danny (Mary) French, Warsaw, IN and Lonnie (Becky) French, North Manchester, IN; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Judith Helen Murphy) Poel, Boyne City, MI and Mrs. Haskins (Joyce Lynn) Kashima, Baltimore, MD; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters are deceased. Family and friends may call Friday, October 12, 2012 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at South Pleasant United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, IN. Pastor Russell Reahard, Pastor Ed French & Pastor Chad W. Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Helen A.
