Graceanna (Royer) Ramseier

Graceanna Royer Ramseier, 89, North Manchester, Indiana, passed away October 6, 2021 at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. The last living child of Jonas and Beulah (Mote) Royer, Graceanna was born in Servia, Indiana on January 29, 1932.

When Graceanna was seven her father passed away suddenly, leaving her mother to raise her and her siblings. This made growing up difficult for Graceanna, but it also instilled in her a sense of caring, a love of nature, and an appreciation for hard work.

After attending Chester High School, Graceanna married Charles F. Ramseier on November 24, 1955. The two were wed for nearly sixty-one years before Charles passed away on November 10, 2016. During their time together, Graceanna helped provide for her family by working at Singer-Controls from 1958 until she retired in 1995.  Graceanna’s faith in the Lord was of utmost importance to her. She was a strong Christian woman who lived her life for the Lord. She also passed these values down to her children. Graceanna was a charter member of the Manchester Bible Church, and if their doors were open, then she was there as well.

The loving memory of Graceanna Royer Ramseier will be forever cherished by her sons, James (Brenda) Garber, Berne, Indiana and Jeffrey (Brenda) Ramseier, North Manchester, Indiana; daughter, Annette (Tom) Stensel, Warsaw, Indiana; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Graceanna was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Beulah Royer; husband, Charles F. Ramseier; brothers, Dwayne, Kenton, and Gene Royer; and sister, Charlene Hite.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling. Pastor Lane Lingofelter will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery County Road 300 East and County Road 1000 North, Servia, Indiana.
