Grace E. Smith, 91, North Manchester, IN died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born July 27, 1921 to William & Elizabeth (Foutz) Deaton in Preble Co., OH. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1938 and attended Bethany Bible School and Manchester College. On May 5, 1945 she married Fred W. Smith. He died July 23, 1997. Grace was a homemaker. She was a member of Gratis Church of the Brethren, Gratis, OH and attended Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester, IN. She is survived by four sons, David (Barb) Smith, Las Vegas, NM, Lyle (YuLing) Smith, Qingdao, China, Kenneth (Robin) Smith, Ellendale, ND and Neil (Anna) Bergstrom, Denver CO; three daughters, Marilyn (Alan) Kieffaber, North Manchester, IN, Lorita (Bob) Janas, Lino Lakes, MN and Lucinda (Perry) Lawson, Denver, CO; one sister, Martha (Frank) Mason, Shelby Co., MO; sixteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Three brothers, one sister and one grandson are deceased. A graveside service will be Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Cedaredge Cemetery, Cedaredge, CO.
