Gordon L Ireland, 62, North Manchester, Indiana died January 13, 2016 at 12:05 a.m. at his residence. He was born January 30, 1953 in Wabash, Indiana to Marion Ireland Jr. and Esther (Shewman) Ireland. Gordon graduated from Manchester High School in 1971. He was a United States Army Veteran. After the Army, Gordon was employed at Controls in North Manchester, Indiana, Hartzler Trucking, Akron, Indiana, and Pierceton Trucking, Laketon, Indiana. He was also a bartender at the East End in North Manchester, Indiana for several years and a member of the American Legion Post # 402, Laketon, Indiana. Gordon is survived by his son Chris (Angie) Hubartt, North Manchester, Indiana; his daughter Tina (Josh) McCoin, Huntington, Indiana; one brother Marion Ireland III , Wabash, Indiana; four sisters Ruth De Turk, North Manchester, Indiana, Mary Dryden, Servia, Indiana, Melinda Johnson, Fort Myers, Florida, and Maria Ireland, New Haven, Indiana; and four grandchildren Anthony Hubartt, Taylor Cook, Emmah McCoin, and Journey McCoin. Gordon was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother David Ireland; and one sister Margaret Cartwright. Friends and family may call Friday, January 22, 2016 from noon - 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Service will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Laketon Cemetery, Laketon, Indiana at a later date.
