Franklin M Geiser

January 27, 1923 — September 2, 2017

Franklin M. Geiser, 94, North Manchester, Indiana passed away September 2, 2017 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. Son of George F. and Mina M. (Mote) Geiser, Frank was born on January 27, 1923 in Lake Odessa, Michigan.

On January 20, 1952 Frank married Lois Martin. The two were married for 57 years before Lois passed away on October 27, 2009. Frank made his living working with livestock and feedlot layout and related automation for livestock for 26 years. After retiring, Frank worked at McKee Mortuary as a door greeter.

Religion was always important to Frank. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, North Manchester, Indiana. He also enjoyed building bird houses, solving crossword puzzles, and growing tomatoes and rhubarb.

Frank is survived by his son David (Lynn) Geiser, Oakwood Hills, Illinois; his daughter Sandra Shrock, Lima, Ohio; two grandchildren Sara (Ben) Nelson, Chicago, Illinois and Chris Shrock, Lima, Ohio; two great-grandchildren Eleanor and Cullen Nelson, Chicago, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents George F. and Mina M. Geiser; one daughter Betty Geiser; one brother and three sisters.

Family and friends may call Friday, September 8, 2017 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. The Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, Indiana. Pastor Mark Eastway will officiate.
