Estill Blevins

Estill Blevins, 84, North Manchester, IN died at 3:25 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 in his residence. He was born December 1, 1928 in Floyd County, KY to Frank & Vina (Tackett) Blevins. On March 13, 1954 he married Joyce A. Spriggs. She died October 23, 2004. Estill served in the US Army during the Korean War. In 1968 he retired from Controls Co. of America, North Manchester, IN. He owned Blevins CB Sales and Service, North Manchester, IN from 1974-1978. He then owned Blevins Produce 1978-2004 and also sold fishing bait from his home for many years. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was an avid gardener and fisherman and loved to hunt with his sons. He is survived by two sons, Eddie Ray Blevins, North Manchester, IN and Elmer Collins, Albuquerque, NM; three daughters, Patricia Ann Blevins, Laketon, IN, Grace Marie (Ty) Miller, North Manchester, IN and Michelle (Bret) Bechtold, North Manchester, IN; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Blevins, North Manchester, IN; two brothers, Elmer Blevins, North Manchester, IN and Charles Blevins, Portsmouth, OH; two sisters, Minnie Nickels, North Manchester, IN and Betty Perry, Omar, WV; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Two sons, Estill Blevins Jr. and Benji Blevins, and two brothers are deceased. Family and friends may call Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.
