Ernest W. Penrod

Ernest W. Penrod, 84, Sebring. FL and formerly of North Manchester, IN died at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Highland Regional Medical Center, Sebring, FL. He was born January 11, 1926 in Wabash County, IN to Ernest C. & Hazel Mae (Ditton) Penrod. On February 7, 1948 he married Marjory A. Rudig. He served in the US Army during WWII. He retired in 1989 after 32 years with Erie-Lackawana and Conrail railroad companies. He attended Grace Brethren Church, Sebring, FL and formerly attended Missionary Church at North Manchester, IN and was a member of Gideon's International. He is survived by his wife, Marjory A. Penrod, Sebring, FL; three daughters, Mrs. Tim (Mika E.) Martin, South Point, OH; Mrs. Bruce (Cheryl L.) Moore, California, KY and Tamara A. Penrod, Sebring, FL; two sisters, Maxine Ruppel, North Manchester, IN and Mrs. Eldred (Louise) Metzger, Claypool, IN; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased. Services Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Friends & family may call on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Dan Binkley will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Ernest W.
