Elmer Blevins Jr., 69, North Manchester, passed away March 3, 2022 at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester, Indiana. The son of Elmer and Betty J. (Rickett) Blevins, Elmer was born May 25, 1952 in Logan, West Virginia.
Elmer graduated from Northfield High School in 1971. He loved music of all types and was passionate about playing his guitar. Elmer enjoyed fishing and being a skilled salesman at flea markets. He also loved spending time with his special friend, Alice Luebke. Passing away on his father Elmer Sr.’s birthday, Elmer Jr. is now reunited with his beloved parents and grandparents.
The loving memory of Elmer Blevins Jr. will be forever cherished by his special friend, Alice Luebke, New Haven; son, Michael Blevins, Fort Wayne; brothers, Jason Blevins, Fort Wayne, Rick (Daisy) Blevins, Baltimore, Maryland, and Brad Blevins, Kingsport, Tennessee; sisters, Debbie (James) Justice, Wabash, Shair (Byron) Erickson, Sequim, Washington, and Crystal Graf, Stout, Ohio; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who thought the world of him and he was their “favorite uncle.” Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Betty J. (Rickett) Blevins; brothers, Alan Blevins and Christopher Nicolaysen; sister, Joy Von Hughes Monrore; grandparents, Frank and Vina Blevins, Edward and Ethel Rickett.
At the wishes of Elmer, there will not be services. Burial will take place in Friends Cemetery, Country Road 300 South, Wabash, Indiana.
The family of Elmer Blevins Jr. has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
