Ellis Helton

Ellis Helton, 70, Silver Lake, IN died at 4:06 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1943 in Prestonsburg, KY to John and Myrtle (Hale) Helton. He married Mary J. Gillespie on March 4, 1988. She survives. He was an a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was formerly employed at Kralis Brothers, Mentone, IN., Parker Feeders, Silver Lake, IN and Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, IN. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.He also spent a lot of time doing odd jobs for family and friends. Other survivors included two sons, John L. Helton, Mentone, IN and David E. Helton, Silver Lake, IN . Two daughters, Sheila R. Helton, Argos, IN and Crystal R. Helton, Silver Lake, IN. Two brothers, Fred (Lourena) Helton, Warsaw, IN and Don (Janet) Helton, Silver Lake, IN. Two sisters, Elsie Dotson, Prestonsburg, KY and Emma Slone, Silver Lake, IN. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Calling will be Tuesday March 18, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Wednesday March 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Terry Bradford will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN.
