Eileen Little, 99, North Manchester, Indiana, passed away on November 20, 2020 at Wabash County Hospital. She was born in Kosciusko County on May 15, 1921 to Walter and Ruby (Ulrey) Metzger. She married Norman Little on March 15, 1942 and they were able to spend seventy years together before his death on July 26, 2012. Eileen was a resident at Timbercrest Senior Living Community since 2016.
Eileen was a graduate of Chester High School in 1939. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She was active in the Wabash County Extension Homemakers and served on the County Extension Board. She was a 56 year member of the Jolly Janes club and served in various offices, as well as an active member of the Wabash County Pork Producers Association.
Eileen was a member of the Eel River Community Church of the Brethren. She was also a member of the former West Manchester Church of the Brethren, where she was active in the Children’s Department and served many years on the Church Board.
She loved to read, play dominos, send cards to family and friends, play the piano and eat out with family and friends.
She dearly loved her family and grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter Barbara (Don) Peters of Fort Wayne, a son Ted (Lisa) Little of North Manchester, three grandchildren Jamie (Gregg) Mosier of Fort Wayne, Brad (Kara) Peters of Fort Wayne and Nate (Holly) Little of Broomfield, Colorado. Her great grandchildren include Drew, Megan and Noah Mosier, Allison, Avery and Austin Peters and Grace and Micah Little.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joe C. Metzger and son in law, Don Peters.
Out of concern and respect for the health and well-being of others during this Covid crisis, the family has chosen to hold private graveside services.
