Earl W. "Wild Bill" Iholtz, 81, North Manchester, IN died at 1:48 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born at rural North Manchester, IN on February 13, 1930 to Hickman William & Nancy (Haley) Iholtz. On December 31, 1953 he married Peggy L. Parker. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael William (Susan) Iholtz, South Whitley, IN. Two daughters, Gloria Jean (Gene) Gottschalk, South Whitley, IN and Barbara Ann (Frank) Edwards, Wabash, IN. Three sisters, Helen Jones, Zanesville, IN; Peggy (Wayne) Turner and Mae Howard, both of Ft. Wayne, IN. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One grandchild and two brothers are deceased. Bill attended Sidney High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1949-1953. He was the owner & operator of Bill's Body Shop & Towing Service since 1961 and retired in 2009. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester where he served as a deacon for several years, and the River City Choir at South Whitley. Services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 4 - 8 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate and burial will follow in Swank Cemetery, North Manchester.
