Dora F. Gaston, 87, Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, IN. She was born June 11, 1928 in Wabash County, IN to John & Anna (Kampen) Deckena. She graduated from Chester High School in 1946. On February 22, 1948 she married Arthur A. Gaston. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, IN and a former member of the Jolly Janes Home Extension Club for 35 years. She and her husband, Arthur, farmed together for 41 years. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Gaston, North Manchester, IN; one son Roger D. (Carol) Gaston, Warsaw, IN; one daughter, Mary L. (David) Moore, Warsaw, IN; three grandchildren, two step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. One brother, Heinz Deckena, is deceased. Family and friends may call Friday, August 14, 2015 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Peabody Chapel, 400 West Seventh Street, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Peabody Chapel, 400 West Seventh Street, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman and Rev. Sue Babovec will officiate.
