Dennis Alan “Weed” Coe, born on April 17, 1960, in Wabash, to Derwood and Diane Coe, passed away on February 28, 2025, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, at the age of 64. Dennis lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure to know him.
A proud graduate of Manchester High School in 1978, Dennis embarked on a fulfilling career at Manchester Tool & Die in 1987, where he worked as a CNC machine operator. During his nearly thirty-eight years with the company, Dennis was often the first person to arrive at work, always starting a pot of coffee for everyone else to enjoy.
In his personal life, Dennis married Debra Good on June 16, 1990, a union that he often cited as one of his proudest accomplishments. Together, they created a life filled with shared adventures and joyful memories, along with their two children. Dennis also had a soft spot for his fur baby, Miss Suzy Kitty and would spoil her daily.
In 2011, a significant turning point in Dennis's life occurred when he dedicated himself to his Lord and Savior through Baptism. He became an active member of the Congregational Christian Church, now known as Walnut Street Church, where he made meaningful contributions as a deacon, participated in the men’s group, and played a vital role in the Brethren Way of Christ / Faith Quest.
Family was of utmost importance to Dennis, and his love for them was unwavering. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured. His personality shone brightly; Dennis was known as someone who was always available to lend an ear and offer support. His distinct laugh and sense of humor brought joy to countless lives, and his absence will be keenly felt by all who knew him.
Dennis enjoyed various pastimes that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. He was an avid slow pitch softball player, and often was seen shooting darts or bowling on Manchester Tool & Die teams. Dennis also had a deep appreciation for races at Eldora Speedway and was a loyal fan of Purdue Basketball. His spirited disposition extended beyond sports; he was a member of the Moose Lodge 1518 in North Manchester. Additionally, he had a notably comical yet complex relationship with the squirrels that often tried to invade his home.
