Deane A. Kline

Deane A. Kline, 88, formerly of Claypool, IN died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, IN. She was born at North Manchester, Indiana on October 28, 1925 to Warren M. & M. Eloise (Peabody) Grossnickle. She graduated from Chester High School in 1943 and was a homemaker and farmer. On September 14, 1945 she married Victor E. Kline. He died May 30, 2003. Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Dorothy) Kline, Claypool, IN and David (Patricia) Kline, Pendleton, IN. A daughter, Vicki Turner, Winona Lake, IN. Four grandchildren, Christina (Mike) McCaul, Pendleton, IN; William Todd (Jennifer) Kline, White Oak, GA; Mark Kline, Claypool, IN and Anita (Chicho) Kline-Balbuena, Claypool, IN. Three great-grandchildren, Nicolas Balbuena Kline, Arya Balbuena Kline and William Kannon Kline. Two sisters, Gloria Bell, North Manchester, IN and Carol Paxson, Ft. Wayne, IN. A brother-in-law, Max Kline, Ft. Wayne, IN. Her parents and two brothers are deceased. Deane was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, IN., the United Methodist Women, and the former Jr. Jackson Township Home Ec Club. Services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, December 4, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Kent Harting and Jeff Grossnickle will officiate and burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Deane A.
