Daunita Marceal Jones Elliott, 91, North Manchester, IN formerly of Gas City, IN died Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:11 p.m. in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born June 25, 1923 in Van Buren, IN to John David & Nellie Pearl (Mathias) Jones. She graduated from Van Buren (IN) High School in 1941. She married Richard C. Elliott Sr. on November 19, 1941. He died May 30, 2006. She was an executive secretary and radiographic transcriber at Marion General Hospital, Marion, IN. She retired March 30, 1972. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Eufaula, AL. She loved art, painting of all types, knitting and crafts. She also loved music: piano, organ and had a beautiful singing voice. She is survived by one son, Richard C. (Carol Burbank) Elliott, Jr., Silver Lake, IN; one daughter, Mary Jo (Ronald) Cavett, Cleveland, TN; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. One son, David B. Elliott, died in 2010. One brother and two sisters are deceased. Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL.
