Daniel L. Burgess

Daniel L. Burgess, 54, North Manchester, IN died at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 in his residence. He was born at Goshen, Indiana on April 22, 1957 to James Andrew & Mary L. "Sue" (Taylor) Burgess. On June 15, 1991 he married Connie Chastain. She survives. Also surviving are three brothers, Doug (Cherie) Burgess, Ft. Wayne, IN; Dave (Dee) Burgess, Tampa, FL and Mike (Trisha Hockemeyer) Burgess, Ft. Wayne, IN. A sister, Pam (Wayne) Fisher, Zionsville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dan graduated from Manchester High School in 1975 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Manchester College in 1980, where he was a member of the Spartan football team. He was a computer programmer for Data Management in Warsaw, IN and owner of Country Cedar Lawn Furniture. Since 1991 he has been owner of B.I.T. Computers, Inc., North Manchester, IN. An avid golfer, Dan was a member of Sycamore Golf Club, North Manchester, IN and Stonehenge Golf Club, Warsaw, IN. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bowling and baseball. He was a former Little League baseball coach. Services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Christian Fellowship Church, 1002 State Road 114 East, North Manchester, IN with calling one hour prior to services. Friends and family my call on Tuesday, January 17, from 3 - 7 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Eddie Akins will officiate and burial will follow the services at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Daniel L.
