Dale F. Joy, 74, North Manchester, IN and formerly of Roann, IN died Friday, November 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born at South Whitley, IN on July 5, 1939 to Omer & Opal (Elkins) Joy. They are deceased. A 1957 graduate of Roann High School, Dale retired after 26 years at Orthopedic Precision Intruments, Roann, IN. He was a collector of many things, with a special passion for unusual rocks, coins, bottles and glass. He also enjoyed woodworking and photography. On February 27, 1959 he married Phyllis A. Williamson. She passed away on October 11, 1993. On August 21, 1999 he married Joyce A. (Huffman) Middleton. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kurt (Susan) Carver, Warsaw, IN and Mrs. Jeffrey (Kristine) Tucker, Claypool, IN. Two brothers, Ralph Joy, St. Cloud, FL and Robert Lee Joy, Pierceton, IN. A sister, Elizabeth Peters, Texas. One step son, Randy (Linda) Middleton, North Manchester and two step daughters, Mrs. Terry (Karen) Hewitt and Mrs. Brian (Diane) Haupert, both of North Manchester, IN. Three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great grandson, two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. One grandson, three brothers and three sisters are deceased. Dale was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester. Services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate services and burial will follow at Roann Community Cemetery, Roann, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Dale F.
