Cleo L. Maple, 100, North Manchester, IN died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center. She was born at Wabash County, Indiana on August 26, 1910 to Carver & Etta C. (Thomas) Smith. On August 17, 1929 she married Glenn W. Maple. He died January 14, 1992. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Faedetta) McRoberts, Lebanon, IN. A brother, Rollin Smith, Kokomo, IN. A sister, Goldie M. Frohiep, Michigan. Three granchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Cleo was a homemaker and member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester. She was an excellent seamstress and did many alterations while residing at Timbercrest Senior Living Community. She used her artistic skills to contribute items to the Timbercrest Gift Shop. She was also active in one of the card clubs at Timbercrest. Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13. Her great-grandson, Michael Kramer will offciate and a granddaughter, Julie Damder will be pianist. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Cleo L. Maple, memorial contributions may be made to Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester, IN 46962.
