Charles T. Miller, 82, North Manchester, IN died at 6:21 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN. He was born at North Manchester, IN on June 15, 1931 to Jesse T. & Ruby I. (Fanning) Miller. On October 12, 1951 he married Ruth G. Gearhart. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Todd D. Miller and Chad A. (Robin) Miller, both of North Manchester, IN. Two daughters, Cathy S. Shepherd, North Manchester and Angela K. Mannix, Angola, IN. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A sister, Colleen Summers, North Manchester and his only cousin, Jack Miller, North Manchester. His parents, a grandson and his son-in-law, Jay Shepherd are deceased. Charlie was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. He began working at the former Peabody Seating Co. He later became a salesman for Farm Bureau, State Farm and Prudential Life Insurance Companies. He retired after 25 years at R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. in Warsaw, IN. After retirement he worked for the The Paper of Wabash County. He loved his family and was an avid sports fan, particularly NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, Cincinnati Reds baseball and I.U. basketball. He was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester. Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Kurt Stout will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. For those who wish to honor the memory of Charlie Miller, memorial contributions may be made to the First Brethren Church, 407 N. Sycamore Street, North Manchester, IN 46962.
