Carol J. Shepherd

Carol J. Shepherd, 61, North Manchester, IN died February 24, 2013 at the home of her sister in Westfield, IN. She was born May 27, 1951 in Floyd County, KY to Walter & Ella (Hale) Shepherd. She was a 1969 graduate of Manchester High School and graduated from Lutheran School of Nursing. Carol was a member of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake, IN and TOPS. She retired after a 30 year career as a Registered Nurse, first in the maternity ward at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN and later in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. She is survived by a step son, Michael Rogers, North Carolina; a step daughter, Melissa Neal, Fort Wayne, IN; two brothers, Walt (Sharon) Shepherd, Columbia City, IN & Jeffrey Shepherd, North Manchester, IN; five sisters, Pamela (Dennis) Helmer, Rexford, MT, Barbara Honeycutt, Silver Lake, IN, Mary (Jim) Bucher, North Manchester, IN, Bonnie (Mitchell) Shenefield, North Manchester, IN and Haley (Doug) Sims, Westfield, IN; and four step grandchildren. One brother-in-law, Cecil Honeycutt, and one nephew, Andrew Sims, are deceased. Family & friends may call Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, 303 S. Jefferson Street, Silver Lake, IN. Calling also one hour prior to service on Friday at the church. Pastor Frank Whitaker will officiate. Burial will be in Swank Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Carol J.
