Carmen Laurella Stambaugh, 85, North Manchester, IN died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born April 15, 1925 in Lake O'Dessa, MI to Ora & Mary (Boocher) Fry. On November 5, 1944 she married Arlin Stambaugh. He died in 1957. She was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN. Carmen worked as a bookkeeper for the small blacksmith and welding shop owned by her husband, Arlin, and his dad. She worked as a bookkeeper for United Technologies Corporation, North Manchester, IN until retiring to help care for her mother. She is survived by two sons, Dale (Vivian) Stambaugh, Silver Lake, IN and Harold (Sharon) Stambaugh, North Manchester, IN; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One sister is deceased. Services will be Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, State Road 13, North Manchester, IN.
