Bonnie L (Owens) Shepherd

September 13, 1955 — June 15, 2017

Bonnie L. Shepherd, 61, North Manchester, IN went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 7:27 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born September 13, 1955 in Warsaw, IN to Amos & Rosie (Howard) Owens.  She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1974.  On May 26, 1973 she married Larry Shepherd.  Bonnie was an office custodian at Strauss Veal Feeds for 14 years.  She was a member of Victory Rock Church, Pierceton, IN.  She loved to listen to Christian music, but most of all she loved spending time with family and her church family.  Bonnie was a people person, with a loving heart, and a passion for sharing God's love.  She is survived by her husband, Larry Shepherd, North Manchester, IN; son, Chad (Kayla Handing) Shepherd, North Manchester, IN; daughter, Aimee (Benji) Blocher, North Manchester, IN; brothers, Earman (Ivy) Owens, Earl (Kathy) Owens, Tacoma, WA and Ellis (Dee) Owens, Alexandria, IN; sisters, Norma Meade, South Whitley, IN, Centha McKenzie, North Manchester, IN and Sue (Don) Murphy, South Whitley, IN and five grandchildren.  One brother, Edward Owens, and two sisters, Edith Minnix and Juanita Wolford, are deceased. Family and friends may call Monday, June 19, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.  Services will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Rock Church, 6170 South 500 East, Pierceton, IN and calling one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Pastor Charles Trout will officiate.  Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.  For those who wish to honor the memory of Bonnie Shepherd, memorial contributions may be made to Victory Rock Church, 6170 South 500 East, Pierceton, IN 46562.
