Blanche N. Michael

Blanche N. Michael, 95, formerly of Sidney, IN died at 2:15 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born at Liberty Mills, IN on April 18, 1915 to Pearl F. & Erma (Boggs) McNear. On July 4, 1932 she married Robert H. Michael. He died July 8, 1971. Surviving are two sons, Kennith (Jenine) Michael, Sidney, IN and Kam (Patti) Michael, North Manchester, IN. Three daughters, Darlene Eckert, North Manchester, IN; Kay (David) Wall, Tecumseh, MI; Karen (Ed) Wolfe, Warsaw, IN. Seventeen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. One brother is deceased. Blanche was a member of the Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren and a homemaker. She worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne and later retired as a secretary from Blue Flame LP, North Manchester, IN. Services will be held Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call at the Timbercrest Chapel on Sunday from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Pastor Kelly Beutler will officiate and burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, IN.
