Billy R. "Bill" Shelton

Billy R. "Bill" Shelton, 56, Laketon, IN died at 6:14 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 20, 1953 at Wabash, IN to Raymond M. & Hazel M. (Barton) Shelton. On June 18, 1977 he married Rebecca A. Hawk. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Jason R. Shelton, Batesville, IN and a daughter, Megan (Denver) Calvins, LaFontaine, IN. Three grandchildren, Tanner & Dylan, LaFontaine, IN and April Shelton, Batesville. Three sisters, Mary A. Sharp, Laketon, IN ; Connie Garris and Linda (Steve) Lambert, both of North Manchester. One brother and his parents are deceased. Bill was employed with the former Peabody Seating Co. at North Manchester and for the past 13 years was a painter at Par-Kan in Silver Lake, IN. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, North Manchester. He enjoyed his grandchildren, drawing, animals and was a die-hard Indianapolis Colts fan. SERVICES WILL BE HELD THURSDAY, JANUARY 7, 2010 AT 10:00 A.M. IN MCKEE MORTUARY. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY CALL ON WEDNESDAY, JAN. 6 FROM 2 - 8 P.M. AT THE MORTUARY. Pastor Darrell Cox will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
