Barbara G. Mcfadden

Barbara G. McFadden, 81, North Manchester, IN died at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born January 25, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Raymond & Kathryn (Eller) Peters. She married Ralph McFadden on June 11, 1955. She then married Ralph Royer on April 26, 2006. He died October 14, 2012. She was a teacher of home economics and English, counseled youth in several capacities and enjoyed working in both the SERRV shop in Elgin and at Show of Hands in Denver. It was in these capacities she was able to show her talent and love for art and design. Barbara was also an accomplished organist and pianist. She was member of Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester, IN. She is survived by her son, Joel (Laura) McFadden, Thornton, CO; her daughter, Jill (Anne Tapp) McFadden, Boulder, CO; brother, Bentley (Helen Gudeman) Peters, Glenwood, MN and one grandchild. Memorial Service will be January 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Manchester Church of the Brethren, 1306 N. Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN. The family will receive friends following the service. Pastor Kurt Borgmann, Pastor Karen Eberly and Pastor Rosanna McFadden will officiate. Burial will be January 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in Manchester Church of the Brethren Memorial Garden.
