Arthur L. Cook, 81, Silver Lake, Indiana passed away at 2:00 a.m. on January 15, 2018 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. The second youngest of five children, Arthur was born on February 25, 1936 to Emery E. and Mary E. (Fingerle) Cook in Silver Lake, Indiana.
For 54 years, Arthur was married to his best friend Patricia Ann Wrightsman. The two were wed on March 14, 1954. Patricia passed away on May 24, 2008. Arthur worked for 39+ years at Manchester Foundry before retiring. Arthur was a lifetime member of Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Silver Lake, Indiana.
The loving memory of Arthur will be forever remembered by his two sons, Doug (Elma) Cook, Claypool, Indiana and Glen A. Cook, Franklin, North Carolina; two daughters, Mary Ann Metzger, Zillah, Washington and Gail (Randy) Metzger, North Manchester, Indiana; two sisters, Opal (Everett) Metzger, Lima, Ohio and Ruth (Robert) Bowers, Silver Lake, Indiana; 15 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild; 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery E. and Mary E. (Fingerle) Cook; his wife, Patricia Ann Cook; one son-in-law, Keith Barton; two brothers, Edward E. Cook and Marvin Cook and one grandson, Eric Cook, who passed away in 1994.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Packerton Road & County Road 1200 South, Silver Lake, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Burial will be at Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, Packerton Road & County Road 1200 South, Silver Lake, Indiana. The Home Brethren will officiate.
