Arnold B Pitts

Arnold B. Pitts, 63, North Manchester, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord after his battle with cancer ended on March 18, 2020. One of six children born to Joe Wheeler and Osie (Arnett) Pitts, Arnold was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on June 5, 1956.

For twenty years Arnold worked as a welder for Par-Kan Company, Silver Lake, Indiana. When Arnold wasn’t working, he enjoyed being outdoors, working on lawn mowers, and especially hunting and fishing. Arnold relished his time with his dog Simba, going to the North Manchester Thrift Store and going to Dairy Queen with family and friends. Arnold kept to himself and had a quiet personality, but if anyone were in need, he would help the best he could.

The loving memory of Arnold B. Pitts will be forever cherished by his son, Joseph B. Pitts, North Manchester; four daughters, Tammy Shepherd, Cilia (Chris) Alexander, Patricia Pitts, all of Warsaw, and Melinda (Jerry) Pitts, Mentone, Indiana; one brother, Henry Pitts, Mentone, Indiana; four sisters, Ann (Olen) Shepherd, Mentone, Indiana, Gracie (Jim Hare) Stephens, North Manchester, Sally Miller, North Manchester, and Kandy Moore, McDowell, Kentucky; special uncle, Henry Arnett Jr., Silver Lake, Indiana; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call Friday, March 20, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana 46962. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling. Pastor Ricky Bradley and Pastor Henry Arnett Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, South Graceland Ave., Claypool, Indiana.
