Arnold Ray Bishop

Arnold Ray Bishop, 62, North Manchester, passed away May 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving wife. He was born on July 19, 1961, in Connersville, Indiana, to Alex and Polly Ethel (Shoop) Bishop Sr.

Arnold graduated from Manchester High School in 1981. He recently retired from Manchester Community Schools after serving twenty-eight years as a bus driver, ensuring passengers were always transported safely. On December 31, 2019, Arnold married his soulmate, Sarah Enyeart. They were blessed with two daughters, Lillian Cherokee and Lexi Willow Ray Bishop.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, camping, riding his motorcycle, and spending time at Jellystone with his family. He loved listening to oldies, tinkering around in the garage, working around the yard, and planting flowers. He was known by his family and friends for his bargain hunting skills and always having whole chocolate milk within arm’s reach.

The loving memory of Arnold Ray Bishop will be forever cherished by his wife, Sarah Bishop, North Manchester; daughters, Lillian Cherokee, Lexi Willow Ray Bishop, and Cheyenne Bishop, all of North Manchester; son, Rick Hobbs, Fort Wayne; brothers, Bobby (Sheryl) Bishop, Wabash, Greg (Debbie) Bishop, North Manchester, and Ricky Bishop, North Manchester; sisters, Wilma Slagle, Georgia, Helen Tincher, Ohio, and Sharon (Gene) Blad, Warsaw; grandchildren, Dominic (Kayle Long) Morris, Warsaw and Kyler (Kayden Schafer) Morris, North Manchester; great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Kohan Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arnold was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Bishop; brothers, James “Jimmy” Bishop, Alex Bishop Jr., and Lonnie Bishop; sisters, Lily Banks and Ruth Ann Bradford; and parents, Alex and Polly Ethel Bishop Sr.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
