Alice Madelin Mowan

Alice Madelin Mowan, 90, Fort Wayne, IN died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012 in New Haven Care and Rehab. She was born at Sidney, Indiana on October 30, 1921 to Russell Sr. & Mabel (Glaze) Frantz. She was a 1940 graduate of Sidney High School and was a bookkeeper for Central Dairy and Wayne Co-op for 23 years. She was employed with Caruso's Italian & American Restaurant in Angola, IN for 10 years. In 1990 she moved to Fort Wayne and worked at Family & Friends Cafe at Times Corners for 10 years. She was a member of the Colony Heights Church of Christ at Fort Wayne, was very devoted to her family and enjoyed eucher, baking and cooking. Surviving are two sons, Robert (Susie) Mowan, Knoxville, TN and Lewis (Debbie) Mowan, Boise, ID. A daughter-in-law, Susan Mowan, Grapevine, TX. Six grandchildren, Daffney Pagenstecher, Mason, OH; Wendy (Valentin) Vieyra, Ft. Wayne, IN; Jason Mowan, Knoxville, TN; Dean Mowan, Ft. Wayne, IN; Chris (Nataley) Mowan, Las Vegas, NV; Matthew (Jenny) Mowan, Ft. Wayne, IN. Eleven great grandchildren. A brother, Russell Jr. (Doris) Frantz, Warsaw, IN. Two sisters, Pat (Elmer) Matthews, Ft. Wayne, IN and Sandra (Marvin) Metzger, Roann, IN . Two brothers are deceased. Services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at McKee's . Pastor Ron Walter will officiate and burial will follow at Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Kosciusko County, Indiana.
