Pamela Christena (Blaising) Boon

September 4, 1952 — June 6, 2024

North Manchester formerly of Fort Wayne

Pamela Christena Boon, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 6, 2024, at her home in North Manchester. Born on September 4, 1952, in Fort Wayne, to Louis and Helen (Gronau) Blaising, Pamela dedicated her professional life to helping people with their education, first as a teacher's aide in Fort Wayne Community Schools before transitioning to Admissions at IPFW until her retirement in 2018.

A proud graduate of North Side High School in 1970, Pamela found joy in simple pleasures, such as feeding and observing birds, basking by the water's edge, and relishing the great outdoors. Her passion for travel and road trips with her beloved partner, Doug, took them on unforgettable adventures, especially to the majestic mountains of Wyoming. However, her true happiness stemmed from the moments spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, with two more on the way that she eagerly anticipated. Pamela will forever be remembered for her caring nature, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. In her younger years, Pamela was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

The loving memory of Pamela Boon will be forever cherished by her children, Adam (Jessica) Boon, Fort Wayne, Sarah (Jonathon) Gonzalez, Valparaiso, and Marissa (David Cloud) Boon, Fort Wayne; companion of the last eight years, Doug Hansford, North Manchester; step-children, Carli (Peter Gibson) Hansford, Jennifer Pillado, Brandon Hansford, Justin (Tanya) Hansford, and Matthew Hansford; twin brother, Patrick (Anne) Blaising, Fort Wayne; sister, Jennifer (Gaylor) Ramsey, Fort Wayne; best friend, Debbie Davis, Columbia City; and her precious grandchildren, Miranda, Alexis, Malik, Hallie, Callie, Charlotte, Tatum, and Rowan. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Helen (Gronau) Blaising; brothers, Michael and Jerry Blaising; and granddaughter, Elizabeth.

A visitation to honor Pamela’s life will take place at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, on June 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to partake in celebrating the lasting legacy of a woman who touched the hearts of many.
