John A Eads

John A. Eads, 87, Urbana/North Manchester died on November 4, 2023.

John was born April 17th 1936 to John W. B Eads and Bonita (Altman) Eads Will on the family Urbana farm and lived his entire life in Wabash County.

John married Darla Lee (Day) Eads on 17 June 1956. They were married 62 years until her death on April 14th 2019.  They have two sons, John Mark (Ann) Saint Paul MN and Billy Joe who has proceed them in death in 1993.

John worked as a farm hand until 1967.  He worked at Cyclone Seeder, Urbana and then Ford Meter Box before winter retirements in Yuma AZ for 15 years.  John always considers himself a farmer at heart.  A dyed in the wool, green and yellow John Deere man.  Darla and John moved back to Servia IN in 2010.

John is preceded in death by his three siblings, Floyann (Eads) Frey, Porter Eads and Larry Eads.    John and Darla have two Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren, Austin and spouse Lindsey (Thomas and Jack), Brooke and companion Jake Gerber (Jeremiah and Malia).

Family and friends may call Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor Sebrena Cline officiating. Burial will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, at the corner of 400 East and 1300 North, North Manchester, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers or gifts contributions will go to the Indiana FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 9, Trafalgar, Indiana 46181, to support the promotion of careers in agriculture.

The family of John A. Eads has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
