Dennis A. Haynes, 64, North Manchester, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. The son of John W. and Ruth Ann (Moyer) Haynes, Dennis was born in Wabash on October 16, 1958.
After graduating from Manchester High School in 1977, Dennis moved to Florida where he worked for a well rigging company. After moving back to Indiana, Dennis worked for his brother at Haynes & Sons Well Drilling for a few years before going to work for Dean Foods in Rochester. He was there for thirty-four years before the plant closed. Dennis then joined the maintenance team at Oji Intertech, most recently known as Intertech Products, for six years before retiring in May of 2023.
A hardworking, dependable, and dedicated father, Dennis was immensely proud of his two children, Derek and Brooke. He enjoyed helping them and being involved in their lives, from coaching little league to taking them to school and helping them in class. He taught his children the value of hard work and led by example. Dennis was an intelligent man who possessed a gift for fixing things when most people could not. He relished in working outside on various projects, feeding birds, and had a soft spot for animals, especially his dogs.
On September 6, 2012, Dennis married June Airgood. For nearly eleven years the two walked through life together, creating fond memories along the way. Despite his untimely passing, the love that Dennis carried for June was never-ending.
The loving memory of Dennis Haynes will be forever cherished by his wife, June Airgood, North Manchester; his twins, Derek (Brittany) Haynes, Peru, and Brooke (Chris) Betten, North Manchester; brothers, David (Jane) Haynes, Akron, Douglas (Kristie) Haynes, North Manchester, and Dwight Haynes, Laketon; sister, Dail Ann Moore, Ramseur, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Gavin and Elin Betten, and Alivia, Dean, and Ben Haynes. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Ann Haynes.
Dennis’s wishes were not to have a service, but instead remember him in your own way.
